relationship between charcoal canister and O2 sensor?
My wife has a 2000 Lexus RX300 with 80k on it. Sunday night the check engine light started blinking and the engine started running rough. The mechanic said it was the charcoal canister so we had him replace it. He said everything looked good, so my wife picked it up this morning...and 10 minutes down the road the check engine light popped back on again! Needless to say, my wife took it back to him. Now he says the comp is throwing an O2 sensor code. Are these somehow related or is it bad luck? One other piece of info is that I had the mechanic replace all the spark plugs, and this involves the removal of the intake manifold in order to reach the back three plugs. Are these related somehow? I don't want to pay for a new O2 if he messed it up.
