R-11 to 134 conversion

I have a '89 that I am converting the A/C I have to add oil to the compressor, but cannot determine the amount needed. everything found says to measure the old one.. Does this work? Thanks

I hope that was a typo and should have been R12

Been sometime but R11is Ammonia If my old brain remembers correct

Yes measuring the old oil will work

should take 2.0 to 3.2 ounces

In the event you have to change out the compressor, Rock Auto sells OEM Denso factory AC Compressors. The ones made now are compatible with both R-12 & 134a.
