So my son had a little adventure last winter with a freeway guardrail, which resulted in us buying and installing some parts from Rock Auto.
One of the parts that we replaced was his bumper, which was the "chrome" version. Anyway, the Rock Auto bumper almost immediately started rusting. They were cool about replacing it, but of course I'm worried that the replacement bumper will rust just as badly when we install it.
So, anything we can do to the bumper prior to install to avoid rust? Maybe a coat of clear? Ideas welcome.
