Prices on parts has gone way up

I stopped at Toyota yesterday to pick up some coolant. Looked at the invoice. $27!! I bought some about a year/year half ago and it was $17. That's a 59% increase. I am scared to find out what all of the other parts cost now...

Toyota raised their prices on everything they sell, big time. Some parts went up over 50% and more. A limited 4Runner climate control that WAS $700 is now $905 list price. Outrageous.

The parts guy said that it was to accomodate the high gas prices, but I haven't seen that kind of increase at Autozone or other parts stores. I think the price hike was to make up for the decline in auto sales.
