Paint my leaf springs?

is this safe to do? i figure i might as well while i have the whole axle down ill paint the leaves and the whole dang axle.

i picked up my AAL yesterday for $40 with tax from a local 4x4 store..im pretty happy about that price.

Pull them apart, clean each leaf and paint w/ graphite paint...

I would reccomend rustoleum hammered, Steve from SS reccomended it to me to do my shackle hangers and panhard bar, and I must say, as usual, he was right, it's help up amazingly well for spray aint in the NJ salt and winter, everything looks really good., just a reccomendation

Go to Tractor Supply and get their aeresol cans of graphite coating spray. It prevent the leaves from squeaking.
