Do you drive a Toyota with the 4.0 V6 (1GR-FE) engine ??
Hi all,
I live in Sri Lanka and I just imported the new Hilux with the 1GR-FE engine (4.0 V6).
The vehicle is brand new and only has 150 Kilometers on the clock.
I feel a slight misfire like vibration when I rev the engine to just below 2000 RPM (no load).
Also when starting to reverse or pull forward on an incline... at low engine RPMs. I can feel the vehicle pulsing and the gear lever too has a slight shake.
Was wondering if this is normal.
I hope folks out there who drive vehicles with this same engine, can comment on this

Welcome to Yotatech, can't help you much, never driven a 4.0. The movement of the gear lever is probably normal. My 92 4Runner and 2002 taco have the same amount of movement. Is that engine a diesel or gas motor?
