Well , I finally figured out why I don't like quik lubes. Itook my '83 to one a month ago and they said that all the fluids look great, lots of miles left. So, today I decided to swap out to synthetics. Motor oil looked fine but dirty. Normal. Rear diff. I tell ya that was paint in there. Same for the front diff, Tranny and t-case. Oh, They said that the spyder gears in the rear diff is a limited slip. Where do these guys graduate from. I tried explaining the difference between the Open, Limited, and Locked Diffs to no avail. Anyhoo, I put in Royal Purple, so the truck's happy again. Oh, and I also relocated my diff breathers. Sorry, No pics. Anyone else have similar stories?
