Why not the new Rav4. It's 14 inches longer than the old one, so it's almost the size of the Highlander. It also has a 3rd row, if you don't get the sport model. It also has the 268 hp V6 that should help get you around to where you need to go. Plus it's milage is rated at like 21 city and 27 highway.

 

Rav4 has 3rd row option? I did not see that. I know the Highlander does but that is going up to $26K. The Rav4 won't have the V6 until you pay $24K. And if I can do the Taco for only $21K, that is hard to pass up.

Anyone have any lease info?

Great Thread!!! Thanks. It would seem after most of my review of leasing v. buying compared with our driving style for this vehicle (short trips, shuffling kids back and forth and not me driving 60 miles to work and back every day) I have come up with the following:

I never thought I would ever lease any vehicle. But after speaking with a friend of mine that happens to be a dealer and reading all of the online info here and on the rest of the web, I think I will. Even though it is highly discouraged by some, I think our usage of this vehicle will make it more affordable. It's definitely a select market as it would not work for me and my driving, but it works great for my wife.
