Just charged the battery to 100% so I know thats not the cause

When I turn the key all I hear is a click and nothing else....does this sound like a starter issue?

Solenoid is clicking but the starter isn't even trying to turn? Sounds like it.

I had a problem like this with my 89. Replaced the starter and went away, then came back. After 3 starters, I replaced the hot wire from my fuse box to my battery and never had another problem with it. So it could be either. Check it all!

Yep, sounds like starter contacts.....very common, quick search will yield tons of threads on changing them.
