More rearend woes....
Thank yall who offered advice on how to get my rearend to quit leaking. I checked my axle vent and it was indeed clogged. I then took the truck on a decently long drive that would allow the axle to build up some pressure and leak.......got home, and it still is leaking but not as much. I tried to loosen the pinion nut, and its been torqued down so much that I can't break it free without an impact. Does anyone know what the factory spec torque should be on the pinion nut? The reason I ask is that I think that the seal is maybe crushed, and it smells like burnt rubber. Any thoughts?

I usually use about 90 ft-lb on mine:

Upwards of 135 ft-lb is what is used to crush the crush sleeve when setting up the pinion bearing, so you don't want to go too high.
