MODIFICATIONS that you regret?

1. Bracket Lift, I didn't put it on, but I definitely didn't like it
2. thick torsion bars on stock arms. Yeah, I learned teh hard way.
3.Step Tubes. Get real sliders, you can still step on them.
4. Allpro Disc Parking Brake. I'm giving it one more shot before I take it out ot the field and put it out of it's misery.
5. Skyjacker springs. Pretty stiff
6. Bilstein 5100 shocks. WAY TOO STIFF
7. Automatic Locker. It ain't that bad, but knowing what I know now, I woudl have saved for an ARB. I'll be replacing it anyway in the future with an ARB.... so you get the picture.

I have Rancho 5000's that are listed for even heavier vehicle than the 4Runner and I love mine. With my 2" lift and slightly larger tires I have a great ride.

OME 60027 shocks on the rear of my 4Runner. Rides like a lumber wagon. Fronts are alright, but the rears are shaking my teeth out. Anybody have ideas other than the suggested break-in period?

I regret the black headlight housings from eBay. The beam pattern was horrible so I went back to stock. Doesn't look as cool but I least I can see the animal I'm trying to run over.
Mods I love that others regret: brush guard, visor.

Like my LCE CA legal header....but don't like that it's 02 flange is over half way to the CAT, instead of on the collector flange or something like that. Trying to figure out if I need a heated one and how to install it in an 87..... Yeah, Grrr. lol.
Regret the Rancho 5000's as well. I drove a 24' Mack with Solid Suspension for a summer......yeah, kinda like that.
OH, and regret letting the machinist talk me into keeping the original CAM when doing a full rebuild.... more of an 'OOPS' than a mod, lol. However, LOVE the 261 that I swapped in! Thanks Tod and Ted!

In my 4Runner I regret swerving out of the deers way. Ended up with the upside down in a ditch mod.
In my Tacoma I regret not having the block surface machined before putting the head and all my new parts on, because now I get to do it again.

I regret buying a used set of ATs so I could swap out my MTs. Alot of work, a little better gas milage, but poorer wet traction braking. Then couldn't resale the dang things.
Not cleaning my heater out when swapping motors and/or using "lowtox" antifreeze one or both of these cost me several weekends changing headgaskets and waiting for parts.
