Interior Paint

I am looking for someone who has sprayed their dash or any plastic interior trim. I dont want to have to do this twice. What have you used that works well?

I used adhesion promoter and the vinyl pain from advance auto. check out my build and you'll see some of the results. I was told the trick to painting plastics and vinyl is to make sure its super clean before you start spraying.

X2 on this. He hit it right on te head. I've had great results with the duplicolor vinyl paint. And definitely make sure it's clean. You can easily change colors with no issues.

Duplicolor Vinyl Paint is your best option... what ever you do pre-cleaning is very important...

Start with citrus type degreaser and stiff nylon brush [like you use for fingernails, small to get into/around the corners], clear water rinse, repeat with ordinary dish soap and nylon brush, clear rinse, then elec. contact cleaner, dish soap and brush and clear water rinse after this step allow to air dry in clean room and DO NOT handle with bare hands... nitrile powder free gloves only... then begin paint process using several light coats applied from different angles, following can instructions... the gloves are important you must keep your finger grease off the plastic to insure proper paint adhesion...
if you do this the paint job will last several years... you may get contact wear off on spots that get rubbed all the time but this will be minimal and generally hard to see unless you are going for a radical colour change.

hope this helps

I did this for my CRX. If I have to do it over again I would only use is for small panels and vinyl or fabric wrap larger pieces.

You can also use krylon fusion. My friend used this product to paint his dashboard and it turned out well.
