How's my gear pattern?

Anyone with some knowledge help a first timer out?

Initial set up (no crush sleeve)
Toyota 8"
G2 gears
All new bearings
.093 Pinion Shims
.007 Backlash
15 inch pounds preload\

A big Mahalo in advance


Drive side

That looks pretty good! That would work fine but if you are a perfectionist I would add roughly .005 to .010 to the pinion depth and see if the pattern will go a tad deeper (into the root of the tooth) on the push side.

yeah maybe a little deeper (at least that how it looks in the pics) and .007 backlash seems on the tight side, i try to get around .010

Thanks for the response guys. I'll add a little more shim and see what happens.

I was told that .007 was a good backlash to have for new bearings...
