$45 is way too cheap for a cat. We sell them here at the yard for $60-$150, depending on their size. Definetly worth shopping around on this one

sold mine to a local recycling yard. this company drives around pickin up recyclables from the curb similar to the trash pickup. at this place you can sell your aluminum cans, plastic, paper, scrap metals of various sort, and catalytic converters. i cut mine off and took it there and sold it, no big deal. they take your name and address and license number to keep track of criminal activity.

3.0, the story is kinda interesting. the bottom line is i was short on cash, and me and my brother needed to make rent in a week. so we bought a cheap hack saw, and cut em off. mine and his hell camino. we were told from a scrap yard about a week before that they were going for between $75-$150. i took them in and got $20 for both!!. I asked why and they said that they were lookin for a guy who hit 4 dealerships and random autoshops for over 200 cats. so the price went WAY down. 2 days later i was under investigation for over 2 months for stealin cats. I will never do that again. My brother and I spent more money on a hack saw and 2 6'' straight pipes than what we got for the cats, plus, his application for the police force was pending... he didn't get accepted. So, to answer your question, if i had gone and sold mine a week prior, i would have gotten at least $75. mind you, that was 3 years ago.
