Question How to make mud easy to clean

Do you ever end up in that sticky mud that is similar to clay and it sticks to everything? I just spent 9 hours cleaning my truck because it was that bad. I used a putty knife and a pressure washer. So i came to the decision to ask if anybody knows about tricks to make mud eaiser to clean. I soaked the truck first to get the mud wet and i cleaned it right when I got home to make it easy, but I am still wondering if there is something that you can spray on before you go play in the mud or if there is some magical cleaner that will practically dissolve the mud that is on the truck. I am open to just about any suggestions, because I want to go mudding again I just dont want to clean it again and i won't take it to get it washed because the guys laughed at me and said $200.

TRY PAM it used to work real good on my chrome grill getting dead bugs off with just water and a little pressure like a thumb over the hose end or a power washer

Baby oil and they make stuff called Mud-X that works too. I've also seen people spray their cars with WD-40

Teflon paint job. Nothing sticks to teflon, of course if that's the case I don't know how you would get it to stick to your truck. But on a serious note you can get it teflon coated but it's expensive if I were to do it to anything I would do it to the undercariage and trouble spots on the body and that's it.

My father and his friends use something made by STP I think ,on their mules and 4 wheelers before going out hunting at the ranch.
They spray it on its like wd 40 and after words they just hose it off real easy.

I'll ask him again what exactly they use.

I dont know how well it would work on stuff like what al posted but Ill find out what they use anyway.

What happens when you want to wrench and small mud-boulders keep falling on your face?

Set a sprinkler under your truck for an hour or two, move it a bit, repeat. Mud gone.

cheap engine oil thinned out with kerosene in a spray bottle, coat the undercarriage with it.. repels surface rust aswell as mud.

I Rain ex my windows and mirrors.

the mud dose not smear or stick to the windows as much.

the rustoleum pait I used was gloss and the mud seems to wash off pretty good with a 2500 PSI power washer.

if you find a long lasting wax that might help I don't wax my truck because I am always think I am going to paint again and I don't want to deal with removing the wax.
