How accurate is weight of wheel?

I just bought a set of Pro Comp alloy wheels in a 16x8. When I called Pro Comp, they told me the wheel weighed 30lbs. I wanted to run the lightest wheel/tire setup for my lil 22RE Runner. I got the tracking # for UPS and was looking at it. I have 4 pkg's, all saying this: Weight: 23.40 Lbs I mean, I know it's not that big of a deal, but 6.5lbs is 6.5lbs. Times 4 is 26lbs and who knows, minus the pkg'ing, it could be another .5lb less. If I can save more weight on the wheel, I can probably look at a tougher/heavier tire. I'm sure UPS is more accurate than Pro Comp, don't you think?

UPS probably did weigh the packages, but to be sure you'll have to wait until you get the wheels and throw them on a scale.

Does Anyone Here Work At Ups?

Ya, I just really have a scale that big, but I guess I can try a regular 'ol people scale. That should work. Does anyone here work at UPS?

I weighed an aluminum 16x8 trans am wheel with a 245/55 tire and it was 40lbs if that helps. I'd say that the 23.4lbs is probably correct, 30 sounds pretty heavy.

edit - just saw your post over in the other section - never mind!
