Hood-mounted lights
so i have these lights mounted to some brackets that i made from 1/8" steel (or maybe it was 3/16...) that go into my hood channel and bolt in in one place, the factory fender bolt, so i didn't have to drill any new holes in the body. they are out far enough to clear the hood and high enough so the light mounting bolt doesnt hit my fender, but due to the length of the metal and the thickness (it can't be any thicker to fit in that channel), the lights shake like CRAZY. when i hit their resonant frequency around 60 mph or so they shake uncontrollably and its very annoying and loud. im looking for new mounting options. does any one have any ideas where i can put them somewhere around their current location, the base of the pillar, or somewhere on the pillar, without any MAJOR modifications? thanks! here are some pics:

The only thing I can think of is:
1) Use another piece of metal, and brace the mounts.
or
2) Relocate the lights closer to the windshield and use a smaller bend in your bracket. That's probably require you to do some drilling though...

What the previous post have said will work, but you will probably still have some shaking due to the thin material..
One thought would be to make a bracket that mounts to your mirrors and thread the wiring through the Mirror mount and down through the door. Kind of like a big FJC turn signal.

I don't have any ideas, but could you post some pics up showing the front of the truck from a little distance, I wanna see what both look like at the same time.
