Help me decide on wheels!

O.K. guys I put some new tires on my truck today and they are rubbing ever so slightly on the frame. I have decided I need wheels but I don't really know what I want. I would just go with black steele wheels but my truck is black along with everything else on my truck and I just think that would be too much black. I need to make this decision quick because I am going to Tellico for the first time next month and I don't want to be rubbing. I would like something with as little bling as possible but once again I just think all black would be too much. I am running 285/75/16 Maxxis Bighorn tires. Here is a pic of my truck as it sits today

What do you guys think of these?

I like those alot, but...do you really need new wheels? Isn't there some other solution to the rubbing?

I don't know what it would be because I need to move the tire out from the frame. More backspacing should do that.

Yeah.. Spacers.. but I woulden't go that rout if it were me (Just my opinion). If he gets a wheel with a slight offset he'll get rid of his rubbing issue..

do you have a lift at all? I'd look into something because I've looked at those wheels before and they're like 200 a piece, for 800 dollars you can have what you need to do a very nice lift.

Yea I am running 285's, I have a lift. 3" Revtek up front LC coils in the rear (1" RB BL in the mail). I can get those wheels for maybe $350 with caps and lugs if I trade the ones I have now.

Did you check the Yotatech marketplace. I thought I remember seeing those same exact rims for sale just recently...

ah, well if that's the case then yea. I would do it, they're great looking wheels. I like those and there is another one, I can't remember who makes it but it's called "chamber" I think. If I was to get new wheels, I would get those.

Are you gonna get these before the trip in august?

Yea if this is the route I decide to go I will have them probably next week. I just hate to buy new wheels just to get them all rock rashed up

bah, just be careful, I've never hurt my wheels, but I do have 4" wider tire than wheel, so it does a good job of protecting them.

IF YOU WHEEL AT ALL: Don't buy them! Get steelies for much less and bash them all you want. When you mess one up, your only looking at $60~ (or some paint touch-up) versus $80-$100+ for a replacement!

Some members here say that black steelies "are for cheapos" or "look cheap" but they always seem to be the ones that drive their 4x4 on pavement 365 days a year.

Those bling rims look nice but what a waste of money they are once you hit the trails. My .02

Those wheels look better in the photo than they do on a vehicle IMO.

There are a few trucks running them in town here and they weren't the best choice.

Dude, just get the steelies. Wheelers, summit, whatever, just get 'em. You know you can't resist the peer pressure....

...I know I couldn't...

I am partial to these ...

I will have mine on my truck this weekend hopefully after far too many hours getting rid of the salt damage and re-polishing.

But at the price, for a forged OEM rim with the right offset, its tought to beat.

Now that you mention it....I think you'd be much better off with the LC wheels. They're gorgeous.

I agree but the chances of finding those or a set of LX450 wheels before Mid August is not very good. Once again I have to make this decision pretty quick so I can get the on before Tellico.
