Found a BAD A 4 runner but has a blown H.G. How bad is this?

Found a BAD A 4 runner but has a blown H.G. How bad is this?
I found this while poking around on Craigslist. LINK
Only thing is it has a blown Head Gasket. Is this something fixable? Could water have gotten in the whole engine and basically destroyed it? If this is just a matter of putting on a new gasket then that is something i could do and i could get a steal on this. My mechanical skill is ok. I am able to strip down a small block chevy and put it back together but I've never messed with Jap engines. Basically what I'm asking is what am I in for?

I'd say yes. That'd be a sweet purchase if I were closer. I'm looking for a summer project to work on like that. The cost of towing or having it moved out here would just topple the budget
