Ethanol Blend Mileage Report

So I thought that I would post my mileage running ethanol blend vs. straight up 87 oct.
Regular 87= Avg 15.8 city/20.1 hwy

Ethanol blend= Avg 14.1 city/17.1 hwy

My truck also likes to ping with ethanol.

'05 Taco D/C TRD V6 4x4. 2 inch lift, 265/75 Toyo M/T's, ARB winch bumper with winch.

I've said this before, but who's idea was it to try and push this ethanol crap on the public? It makes your vehicle perform worse, worse mileage, have to have special fuel lines, raises the price of corn and milk, and doesnt cost all that much less at the pump.

- It cost MORE here than gasoline.
- You don't need special fuel lines to run it.
- You can thank Baby Bush for the ethanol crap that this administration has pushed on us. It's not "for the people". It's "for the corporations"...
This administration is a government of, for, and by the corporations and certainly not the people.
- Even Castro is smarter than that moron that's currently sitting in office. Castro said "you're going to starve everyone" when Bush started this ethanol campaign.
- Maybe, if the Bolsheviks are successful in storming the palace this year, they'll change things.

I thought the ethanol would eat away at rubber fuel lines?

No, not anything relatively modern.
Just a 'net myth, sort of like the one that rubber brake lines expand when you apply the brakes.

are the 05+ made to compensate for e85? If not, that's why your mileage is going down.
