Don't be so hard on yourself. Oh yeah(almost forgot), we determined your of Japanese descent. So I geuss there's only so much a westerner can do to help you with that. Thanks for the links there, I've haven't been keepin' up on it as much as I should. I would love to hear what you've got goin' when it's done. Just thought of another favorite Frankie Bones, his stuff is intense. I do like what little Daft Punk I've heard. One more, Aphex Twin, though I don't know why, or what the hell you call that cacophony as far as musical style. Techno/Mechanical noise, how's that?

Well, at least I can hold my own with English. I have my bad moments but they are quite rare.

For a slow and relaxing drive, Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Chills, Vol. 2 is great. (I also own 13 of his other albums/mixes). He is in my humble opinion the greatest DJ ever to walk this earth. As far as driving in general goes, I listen to anything by Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Ozzy Osbourne, George Acosta, Barry White, Tom Moulton, Dan-I, wayfinder, Daft Punk, Larry Levan, Pink Floyd, Journey, The Who, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, and Petra (the only Christian I ever listen to, because most of it is crap. Don't hate me for that one, though). Maybe I can make some converts by saying that.

My Ipod quit working for about a year, so it was whatever was on the music stations, or talk radio. I mix it up a bit every now and then, but I mostly listen to talk or sports radio. The classic rock station in town is crap these days...nothing but AC/DC and some other crap from time to time, but I'm just tired of the same old stuff. I usually listen to country, bluegrass, Americana...that kind of thing, but there's not a lot I care for right now. And as far as modern rock goes.....no thanks. I also agree that most of the contemporary christian music is low quality. I think music in general has been in a decline since the early 90's

It's a real shame that you can't get good radio over there, wherever you are.

And Ronald Reagan was my favorite president ever. The eighties was one of the greatest decades for the good ol' USA.

As I've said in another thread, I am in actuality second gen. Japanese-American, and was born here in Colorado.

check out Aarmin Van Buuren's State of Trance shows, or the freshlymixed.com site. both are great.

Well, living in Nashville, i have more than enough country stations, and I enjoy it, but a lot of times, all 5 will play commercials at the same time, or play the same songs around the same time. That's what happens when you listen to currently popular music though....it gets overplayed. They say they play the legends, but they don't

The modern rock stations are pretty crummy....lots of stuff that I just don't care for, and then the classic rock station plays the same 50 songs over and over again. Not enough deep cuts, or rare tracks.

And I just don't care to hear rap and hip hop, it has gone WAY down hill since it's prime. It's become detestable at least to me.

Whereas, the talk radio, I get fresh stuff all the time.

I agree with you on Reagan, I'm glad I got to be a child of the 80's. But....politics is a little off topic for this thread

I'm from 1989, that's cool. But yes, politics is for Off-Topic (but hopefully not much at all on these forums).

I enjoy a couple of country artists, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. That's about it for country. For you tranceheads, check out "Feel You (Original Mix)" by Marc et Claude. It's available on iTunes.

Another awesome resource for driving music of any kind is http://www.hvsc.c64.org. You can download their whole collection, which has over 30k Commodore 64 SID tracks. Iron Cat, Da Funk, Jeroen Tel, ADSR, And DOS (Cane) are the best artists in my humbly expressed opinion.

"Careless Whisper" by PRI is the best SID tune ever, in my opinion.

The Prodigy. The ultimate Techno group in my humble opinion.

Hot Rice.
Molotov b****.
No Good.
Voodoo People.

and so many others.

I own "Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005", "Fat of The Land (the best)", and "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned".

check them out if you haven't heard them or been on top of them lately. Everyone who has seen the Matrix has heard at least one Prodigy song. (the nightclub, right before Mr. Anderson is late for work).

Another abso-awesome-lutely wonderful group to listen to while driving your Toyota is Black Box. Their album "Dreamland" is one of the finest House productions ever.

Top ten Disco/House artists/producers/DJs (IMHO):

1. Giorgio Moroder
2. Larry Levan
3. Black Box
4. Daft Punk
5. DJ Izrail
6. Lloyd Dev
7. Baby's Gang
8. Donna Summer
9. Sylvester
10. KC & The Sunshine Band

Don't get me wrong but this is more my style. Although driving my Toyota actually calms me down and I don't road rage like I want to, I make sure my music expresses my anger for me. What ever happened to relaxing in ones yota with Static-x, GWAR, Slipknot, megadeath, old school GnR, Motley Crew, Anthrax, and Tyoe O'negative.

-=Morphine=-

PS:: I actually listen to ALL styles of music but for some reason in my Yota I have a tendency to get a little harder in my music selection. And by all means this is not the "HARD" stuff just the more recognizable!

I hear ya Morphine. Hard Rock and Hard Techno all the way when I want to say: "I'm royally pissed today!" even though I'm calm on the inside.
