Drivers side headlight burned out 3x in <1 year

I have a 2011 4x4 v6 Tacoma. My drivers side headlight continues to burn out. I have gone through 3 sets of bulbs in less than 1 year. I have tried everything from expensive bulbs, to low end 'long lasting' bulbs.

I have avoided normal pitfalls - I replace both headlights and avoid touching the bulb even while wearing gloves.

I have never burned through headlights like this. This last go around I tried to keep the headlights off in the daytime and turn off the lights before shutting off my truck... but that shouldn't really matter when other cars are not going through bulbs like this!

Why am I burning through so many headlights?? Do I need to replace an electrical component or wiring harness?

I like having the bright bulbs-- and would consider an HID or LED option-- but I don't want to spend the $$ if there is an underlying issue that will wear out whatever I buy too quickly.

Any help is appreciated! I am not too savvy with electrical.....

Got a multimeter? Check what voltage the lights are getting under different conditions (key off, key on, starting, idling, revving, turning off).

Could be a problem with fuse or relay for L headlight.

Red face

Are you getting water hitting a hot bulb??

Any Arc Marks on the failed bulb or socket

Loose connection will cause bulbs to fail.

All my vehicles Have the lights on when driving !!!

2009 work truck 250,000 miles never had to change a head light bulb

2000 Tacoma 200,000 miles No headlights bulbs

No Doubt I just Jinxed myself !!
