downey cold air intake?
#2
No it will not. Colder air is only going to be a few degrees colder. And thats up top at your intake, once it goes into the cylinder and combusts its gone and there is no affect on your engine temp. Ecspecially when the thermostat is down south at the radiator hose.

Hmm, I wonder why my guage always reads in between MIDDLE and COLD. even with a new thermostat..
When i drive to work in the cold mornings with the heater on, it gets up almost to the middle line, why is this?
And why doesnt it warm up to the middle line normally?

Which means...?
Are you saying I shouldn't worry about it? I'm not concerned if it's running cool, thats just good news for the HG.
I'm just worried that it's innacurate and my engine will overheat. That would blow.

now dont forget you have to take elevation into consideration...20 degree air at sea level and 20 degree air at 5000 feet are going to be diffrent.
cold air intake will sound cool and you MIGHT notice a little bit more pickup.
every toyota ive ever driven..which is many, has always had the same deal with the temp gauge..if its at operating temp its in the middle. anything colder is not warmed up and anything high and you should probably shut er down.
EDIT: if you are concerend about your engine temps maybe you should get a temp gauge!

That's really cheap horsepower!
So are you saying if your baseline is 100hp at 80 degrees, you'll have 130hp at 50 degrees and 80hp at 100 degrees?
