Dash retrofit?

Dash retrofit?
Just wondering if anybody has seen a dash swap from different years done before? I have a 1990 truck and I am thinking about putting a 3rd gen 4runner dash in the truck. I want to put the dash along with the guage cluster, and air controls.

If I did this im thinking about buying a 3rd gen 4runner from an insurance salvage pool and parting out similar to what you are doing. I would then have the entire vehicle there to take parts from. As for looks, why would it look bad? It would look just like the stock 3rd gen 4runner. Helluva lot better than my boring stock dash.

im just not a fan of airbags...sorta retracts from the overall clean look of the dash. I suppose it wouldn't look "bad" so dont take offense, but airbags just make it sooo much more of a hassle heh.
btw I still have the dash from my 4runner, if you want to buy that instead

No offense taken... Just curious why you think it would look bad... I wouldnt have the airbags hooked, since I dont have the sensors for them, but they would just be in there to complete the dash. I have the Corolla S leather steering wheel in my truck and the newer styling is nice, so I kinda want a newer dash.
