Well...

I guess this would be a good opportunity to reinforce the difference between right and wrong?

Kids do dumb stuff, no matter how smart or how well behaved they usually are. That sucks though.

My son took rake to the side of my car once, left a nasty scratch, vertically down 1 door. He said there was dirt on it so he was "washing it off" ...with a RAKE!!!!!?!?! We had a long talk about how NOT to touch the car(s).

Kids, man.

Well my daughter is really well behaved. I don't think that she knew she was doing anything wrong. I had recently been letting her stick her head out the sunroof as we were going down the driveway and she had been getting a kick out of that. I think that's how she got on the roof.

You know it really is funny in a way because if it was anyone else who did that, I would be so steamed. I would even be able to look at my truck because it would make me think bad thoughts. But what can you really do to a kid that just doesn't know any better? You try to tell them everything about what to do, and what not to do, before anything bad happens but, no one is perfect and something bad is going to happen anyway.

For those of you who don't have kids....don't have any. I was 18 when my daughter was born and while I think that it was good in many ways, if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't. There are many reasons for this idea.

As far as fixing the damage....there are a lot of scratches. Plus my dog has been sliding out of the window and scratching up the door so maybe it's time for a paint job. I've got some ideas in the back of my head about 2 tone paint job so maybe this will be motivation to get it done.

I think most parents would disagree with this statment, if you were to present them the question: Perfect paint job or kids? Having kids is so much better than anything else, its not even a comparison or a reson not to consider having them.

Agreed. That said, my wife and I are both glad we didn't have kids right way or when we were young. We were married after collge and didn't have our son until around year 7 of our marriage.

I wouldn't change a thing.

My 6 yr old was writing in the dust on the side of the vehicle one day (It was my wifes vehicle and not mine). My 3 yr old decided to mimic her with a rock. The result is the same as yours, except to a lesser extent ... and Height!!!

Much Sympathy - as I have not repaired mine yet!!
