I was at my local pepboys and I asked the guy how much a CV axle was for me and he looked it up and said $100. i looked at his screen and noticed there were a couple options: CV axle assembly or CV halfshaft. whats the difference? also, i think it said list was $150 but $50 core so he said $100...but what does the core charge mean etc? thanks!

 

The core charge is refunded when you bring your old one back. They send it back, and then it is remanufactured. Kinda like recycling ...
