how did you guess? Was on ridlin for most of childhood. Sucks, but oh well. Hey, at least I stuck through the transmission replacement. Seems like the only thing that keeps my attention is either video games or driving.

my boys on adderoll. thankfully the only side effect is a severe lack of appetite. worries the crap out of his mother but his grades went from D's and F's to A's and B's. I can tell when he isnt on it as he shakes his head for no reason and doesnt even realise he is doing it but back to the thread did you get something sorted??

Sorry to hear that man, i hate taking all the drugs prescribed, so i dont. But for kids, they need the help, they dont realize whats going on, therefore they cant put it in check, however, most adults can keep it under control, but not all.
As per the plexi, we are going on a parts binge next wednesday to ecology auto wrecking, so im sure ill come back with more than just the plexi, lol.
On another note, just got done with my timing chain, wow, i never want to do that again, but now, it runs like a champ and no more clacking from the front end!

there not too bad. You want a beast of a timing chain to replace.... Try a BENZ 420SEL. 100,000 miles and they explode doing all sorts of damage. You can rip apart the whole front of the motor and do it or you can pull the rocker covers off(or as you boys call them tappet covers) and turn the engine to find the link and split it while keeping tension on it and connect the new chain. While keeping tension on the chain have someone slowly tuen the engine via socket on front pulley until you get it all around then bring it together and replace the link lock. Then pray you didnt jump a cog and start the engine. If you did then KABOOM with the upper end. This is actually the easier way to do it.
As for the kid.... he is a good kid overall but stuck with this. I am the same as you as far as the drugs ... dont take anything. Had my lower back fused and was up walking within 5 days and didnt take anything for it. Had to have the nurses remove the Morphine as it was making me shake all over. Busted my collar bone three times as a kid and by the last time i think i had the sling off after two weeks.
Hope the hunt goes well. If it dont let me know as i have a guy up the road from me that has a ton of yotas.

Well, its how life goes. Sucks bad on your back work. If you could, talk to your guy and see if he has a clinometer face, if he does let me know what he wants for it, and shipping from you. You are in the states right?

had a friend on that ritalin junk (or it's forerunner) when I was a kid... it really messed him up... appetite issues, mood disorders... his mom says now she wishes she'd never given the stuff to him...
he was somewhat normal (as "normal" as any of us are anyway) when I last ran into him a few years back... so it did'nt seem to have any lasting affects...
on the plus side with no appetite at least you don't have to worry so much about that childhood obesity epidemic thing right?... you gotta look for the + in everything folks LOL...
on the plexi note if wet sanding with polishing compound forever and a day is not your thing than I'd go with dc's idea and use the old one as a template and cut yourself a new one out of lexan. It's more UV stable than plexi.
