CB Radio Interference

CB Radio Interference
Alright. So I got a CB radio recently and installed it in my 86 4runner. Cobra 19 plus, 3' Firestik II and Firestik medium duty spring. Mounted through the space of the hood on the driver side. I have 9' of coax running under the cowel and through the grommet on the passenger side along with the wiring for my offroad lights and stereo amp.
I am yet to tune the antenna, but I am getting lots of engine interference. As the RPM's get higher so does the pitch coming through the CB. I can adjust my squelch to get rid of the interference but it will still pick up the high RPM's and the incorrect squelch makes it so that I can't talk or hear over the radio. Please anyone that can help let me know what I can do!

Roght now my power is through the cigarette lighter plug so I can try that. Do you know how much those filters run? I thought it might be the amp wire run with the coax but I'll look into those
