Dude.. this makes the first time ive heard of someone actually doing that to a 22re. If you did that...wow dude... good luck with the rebuild if u end up doing it. im knee deep into mine so ill help u out if u have questions

if the guy before u hydo locked it..haha.. thats exactly why he sold it. That destroys bearings, and at high heat when it happens, the thrust stroke of the engine and the coldness of the water cracks the rods... dude...thats a nasty hole... im sorry man... samurai swords have their limits too i guess haha

This motor is not rebuildable the block is toast the head toast thanks for the offer on the help I'll hit you up if i need something.

This wasnt my motor and I did not buy it its 85runnerdads' motor it was roughly a 1 1/2 yr old reman . I talked to him about that day he hydro locked and he swears up and down he shut it down before damaged occured.

SO WHY WOULD A ROD BREAK IN HALF??????

I bought an used 22re and got r in his rig last night so jsut a quicky swap out

piston head is cracked

intake valve is bent

What is your guys take on how this motor was running? now that we can see its guts

ALSO I put a healthy 22re motor in 85runnerdads runner it was a queit runner with 190-195 compression numbers and no noises ....now that perfect motor is in his runner it has a lifter tick and he claims all 3 motors that he has had in the past few years have had this lifter tick?????

ANY THOUGHTS??

I doubt its lifter tick, its likely a fuel injector issue. They can tend to be pretty loud. Did you use the injectors from his 4Runner, or the donor truck?

You have two sets of injectors now right Rob? As long as they are the same connector, just get the one set sent into Witchhunter.

I have the original motors injectors, 85runnerdad is using HIS original injectors, I mentioned to him that it must be HIS injectors causing the issue......I was jealous I made the deal with him on that motor since it was such a healthy runner.

the injectors must be all over the place

Heck yeah man, they're crazy fast too! It's possible to get the injectors back in three days if not sooner.

No such thing. Nothing can take serious abuse and keep going forever.

Could we get an answer to the carbon buildup question? From an engine type of guy?

It appears to be flaking away-I am looking at the photo with spark plug still in place- and where would that stuff travel to within the engine?

I'm no expert-but this is how I learn.thanks for posting up the pics so we have a frame of reference.

They are indestructible, until you put a hand grenade in one of the cylinders.
