car hauler trailer questions ?????

Hi Guys I am looking for a 2 axle flat bed trailer to haul my yota to and from the trails on behind my dirtymax . I'm always wheeling like a weenie because I'm afraid to break my rig and have to drive it home . I was trying to see what length and width you guys might be using to haul yours and how you like it . I was thinking 16 or 18 feet long should be fine . thanks in advance for any and all reply's and advise .

I would get an 18'. The 16' I use is a hair short. Get it as wide as you can.
I would get brakes in both axles. Also get the heaviest duty axles as you can.

I have a 20' Deckover with a 4' beaver tail giving me the 24' length to haul lengths of steel 102" wide

I have found regular car trailers a royal pain if you need to load from the side with a forklift.

It does double duty hauling Miller 6 and 8Paks to job sites.

Go as long as you can.

Thanks guys I think I'm gonna try to find a nice used 18 footer with brakes of course . I wont need to haul anything thats loaded with a fork lift with it . I have access to a big dog trailer my buddy pulls his bobcats and small excavator on if I ever need it i can get it anytime . It just doesnt fit his truck and mine due to the length of our rigs or I wouldn't even be looking for one .
once more question is there any brand of trailer I should stay away from ??
