Jackson,

I spoke with Bud last year when I was looking around for a skid plate. He does offer a belly plate that runs from where the skid plate ends to the rear of the gas tank. The only problem is that in order to attach this longer belly pan, you need to buy his transfer case clocking plate (to rotate the TC up and out of the way) and, I believe, a crossmember too.

I'm going from memory regarding the big belly pan, I don't have Bud's number handy, please give him a call to confirm.

I'm in for the IFS and belly plates - just gotta double check with the wife that we have the money.

Man I'm glad I used that "New Post" button for the first time today. I was going to order one of these tomrrow w/o ever knowing there was a group buy. I'm down for the skid and belly pan. I'll be giving bud a call tomorrow. Thanks Andy, you rock bud. First the FJ Cruiser Team coming to Tellico, now this, your on it this month.

Torn between the extra ground clearance with the crossmember vs the smooth bottom with the bellypan vs the cost of all 3 (even with the 20%)
What i'd do (was going to) on my 2nd gen is mount the front skid plate and attach the rear of it to a S.S. truss. It will still extend beyond the truss giving you plenty of protection.
I didn't want the belly pan for 2 reasons: I didn't see it necessary and i didn't want that much extra weight. However i do see the belly pan as a good option for 3rd gens being their a different design.

So when are these things shipping, since we've hit the minimum do they just go out as they're ordered, or do we have to wait until the deadline of the 13th?

Once he get's the payment and shipping info for the first 10 pieces, then he'll start shipping them. After those first 10, they will go out as he get's the calls. Once business ends on the 13th and you haven't called to pay for your skids, then you've missed out whether you're on this list or not.

What do you mean by S.S truss?

I think he means the Sonoran Steel IFS truss. The skidplate bolts to it using the stock holes that come in the skidplate. I was thinking of drilling and tapping the truss.

Well, my order will be in tomrrow, and I hope others step up soon, I'd like to get mine well before Tellico so I can take them on a quick break in run through Uwharrie. Gotta have the armor, I'm letting a girl friend of mine drive the rig.

What I don't see on Bud's web site is whether he has bellypans for 86-95 4Runners. I see the 3rd Gen & Taco set and a reference to 86-95 skid plate, but no bellypan. So does he have them? Do they mount to the stock T/C crossmember? Or do you need another crossmember, a la Taco/3rd gen?

Yes, he has belly pans for 2nd gens. It wont mount to your stock crossmember but it will mount to buds crossmember which has pre drilled holes... https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f180/bud-built-crossmember-3-0-5spd-3-4-drivetrain-lift-pics-78653/
