Boycott Automotion
As some of you may know, I've been in the market for an old Toyota 4Runner, the one I've got is too rusted out to stay on the road and I want to revive it. I found an excellent one on Ebay, rust free the whole nine yards. The problems I saw with it are 1)It was turbo'ed and they probably needed to be rebuilt, 2) It was an auto, 3) It would overheat after about half an hour of driving, 4)Like any old auto its a can of worms, start one thing and it's like knocking down a string of domino's. I expressed these concerns in an email and said more or less given the issues above, and the current state of the economy, $2500 was a fair offer BUT I was willing to work on my price if he was willing to work on his.
Their response said, "good luck finding one for $2500....its NOT happening!!!!!!"
I responded by restating the issues I saw with the truck and politely told them common courtesy is great for business please respond respectfully to me as I have to you. Again, I'm willing to work on my price.
Their response said, "already turned down 3500 go find another one!"
Maybe it's just me but that's very unprofessional business whether you're a private owner or a "professional dealership". Maybe its because I deal with customers all the time, there are a million polite ways to say, "No thank you". Maybe I'm just bent out of shape over nothing. However you dice it they rubbed me the wrong way.
Either way if you or someone you know see a car or truck for sale at Automotion, they're dick heads don't go there.
