First let me say i'm glad i found this site. I lucked into it after taking on my last water pump/ timeing belt replacement. Today I went back and replaced my power steering pump but for some reason it doesn't seem to want to bleed out. I ran out of daylight and just put it to rest for now, but that is easier said than done. Any suggestions/ trouble shooting ideas. Thanks in advance, it's a 92 hilux 3vze

If the instructions dont help you the easiest way to excrete the air bubbles is to make SURE when doing this don't turn the wheel. Assuming everything is hooked up properly fill your power steering resvoire close to full and start your truck. Now just let it run for a few minutes watching you PS Fluid and the bubbles rise. Shut off your vehicle let is sit for a few. Repeat this process as needed and watch the bubbles until thier are gone. This is how I was shown and its worked everytime. Good Luck. (Make sure you dont touch the wheel at all while doing this.)

 

Will a leak also draw air in?
