Best 5.3 Vortec Headers for Daily Driving?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to upgrade my 5.3 Vortec engine and I’m curious about headers. I mostly use my truck for daily driving and occasional towing. I want something that improves exhaust flow and performance but doesn’t create crazy noise or require major tuning.

I’ve seen options from Flowmaster, Hooker, and Kooks, but I’m not sure which gives the best balance between power and reliability.

Does anyone have experience with bolt-on headers for a 5.3 Vortec that are easy to install and won’t trigger check engine lights?
