Funny thing........My buddy (who's runner is more of a museum exhibit)
is always like........"dude when are you going to remove your boards"??
The look is cool BUT.........
I say NEVER!
I actually run the heck out of my runner and those boards take the beating that my rocker panels and side panels would take from rocks, spitting mud etc.
So I just hose off under my boards instead of having to hose my rig off.
Just me..........I love 'em because they really function. I rarely if ever have gritty mud on my paint panels but the boards collect it like heck!
Plus.....they are sturdy and I tend to mod my runner so that the performance and offroad changes are barely detectable.
Just in case it has to sell someday. You never know.
I offroad to gain access for snake hunting and not just to offroad so my intentions are different
So I tell my buddy..........."Dude....if rocks are hitting my rockers..I'm somewhere I shouldn't be" .
Just one opinion.........and I'm sure not the most popular.
