my 4 runner has a back seat heater, which takes up most of the consol, I can do with out the heater and would like to remove it and increase the size of the consol. Has anybody removed one and what did you replace it with.

 

You can pull the plumbing out and replace it with one from a pickup. They are hard to find in good condition. You can also do an ammo can or several custom boxes that can be found online.

 

mine did not have rear heat. If you get lucky you can find the 4runner console. Look to pay around $100+ if you find one

i modified the existing console (sold the double hinge lid for $45)
