Heater acting strange , No Heat from front vent , plent of heat from dash and floor

Hello everyone , I am having a really weird heating issue. No matter where i set my heat it will not blow heat out the front vents. It blows fine from the defrost vents on the dash, The floorboard heat blows but not as hard as it used to. If i hold my hand on the dash vent i can barely feel heat coming out of it, It has heat but its not blowing. Does anyone know what could cause this and if so how can i correct the issue? Thanks in advance =)

so when you say your not getting heat at the vents you actually mean your not getting air? If so sound like either a blocked up air ducts or the flapper in there that directs air from the blower to the ducts is not directing airflow properly to the vents.

Thanks for replying to the thread.

I double checked the heat , Air is blowing out the defrost vents , No air is being pushed from the front of floor board vents. Heat is only barely coming out of those vents.

What is the easiest way i can check the flapper and un stick the flapper?

Thanks again
Justin

Check the cables for the heater to see if there adjusted properly, chances are that`s what it is. If that doesn`t fix it then you have to remove the dash to get to the heater box. What year truck do you have ?.

Ok, i don`t know much about the second gen 4Runners, look up above the gas peddle and see if you can see were the cables are attached to the hear box levers, and in the cable holder properly.
