I am from San Antonio and I am looking at buying a 92 4Runner 4x4 in Austin but I don't know a good mechanic in Austin that I could have take a look at the 4Runner before I purchase it. Also, if you don't know of a good mechanic, can you give me some pointers on what to look for. "Tall tale signs" of abuse or things to watch out for when purchasing a 4Runner. I'm a Jeep guy converting to Toyota and I want to make my first experience a good one. Thanks to all who contribute.

3 slows arent that bad.

 

Its the 3.slow with 160k, had the HG recall in 99. Got the Autocheck report and it clean.
