ARB Bumper Owners!?

What is under the rubber bump stops? Can they be removed?

What kind of winch works best with these?

I am leaning toward a Warn XD9500i if these fit. Any help is appreciated.

They can be removed, but you will have some holes from where they bolt on.

You cannot use an "i" series winch with an integrated solenoid with the Tacoma bumper. You will need one with a separate solenoid pack.

Thank You WATRD.
I appreciate the quick response to my questions. It has been a long time since I have been able to read some posts on here and it is good to see you are still here.

Heck, my rubber bumps were not all that impressive. The bolt mounting inside is a little gimpy. As soon as I made contact with anything, they tore out. I took them off and threw them away. Got the holes. Who cares.

I don't have a winch, since I am working a slightly more complicated project now, but maybe in the next couple of years.

i have the arb bumper also, no 'rubber baby buggy bumpers' on mine though. looks kind of bare without a winch, hopefully spring time will see one in there!

What bumpstops? Where?

As far as winches I think any of the M series would fit, but I'm not sure about the 12 and 15K lb ones. M8000 or XD9000 are the two that I'd choose from.

I think I'll get the M8000 with hawse fairlead because its cheaper, then sell it and the wire rope. get an aluminum hawse and 90' syth rope.
