I am switching the steering wheel on my wife's rav4 with a steering wheel from a old 4runner column I had lying around. Everything was going good till reassembly when I found out that the airbag clip was diffrent than the rav4 one in the black back plate. Can I just cut and sauder the 4runner clip to the rav4 column? Wires look the same. Any airbag specialist out there?

FYI I broke the rav4 wheel, not just doing this for fun.
