22re haul a snowmobile?

What do you have for a sled? It's not really an issue of weight-my 550 and 600 both tip the scales at under 600 pounds. I can't see the 800s being that much heavier.
The stance of the skis will probably be the determining factor. If they're too wide-a lot of the newer ones have a wide stance-it'll never be level across the hood. If you're cool with wedging it in there, you can do it. Your truck and sled will take a bit of a beating, but you can do it with enough tie downs.

yeah i got a arctic cat m8 153" track. not so worried about it physically fitting in, more about whether the 4 banger will have enough power to haul it around. also wondering about the 4 banger diesels hauling ability as i am going to be looking at one of these as well (would have to get a trailer for the sled though as it only has a 4 ft box).

Everything I hear...is that in a lot of other countries, trucks like ours are used as if they were full-size trucks. Doesn't mean you can haul a 30' trailer up & down canyons...but it's been done
Snowmobile is absolutely no problem.

When I rebuilt the porch on my house, I had an aluminum trailer loaded with at least 600 - 700 lbs. of pressure treated wood that my '88 4Runner with 22re 5 speed pulled with no problem. Now, granted, she was no speed demon pulling that weight around but she got it done. I see no problem with your truck pulling an aluminum sled trailer with your Cat on. Again, it won't be a fast ride but you'll get there.

I used to haul my Polaris 440 ProX around in my '93 single cab no problem! I put it on top of the tailgate to help make sure it wouldnt slide out....and because thats the cool thing to do in Alaska. That was 5-6 years ago though. I have neither the truck nor the sled anymore.

It will work just fine although having loaded quite a few sleds into the back of a pick up over the years. By myself off the garage floor.
Now I would go with a trailer in a heart beat just for the ease of unloading and unloading . Nothing like just being able to back the trailer in the shed unhook and worry about it later.
Instead of unloading it after a weekend of snow (exhausted) so the truck can be reloaded for work to leave at 0 dark 30 in the morning

ive overloaded the hell out of my 4runners and had no problems hauling with my little 22re's. it takes a little longer to get going, but all the added weight makes wind resistance back off a bit. steep hills arent too fun, but it still does it, and pulls good mileage doing it.
