1987 Toyota Acceleration problems

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie. I could use some help. I have a 1986 toyota truck 4x4 efi 4cyl. I have been noticing worsened acceleration problems for the past month. Truck starts fine but sputters under mild acceleration. Full throttle engine runs ok, but half throttle i have power loss and sputters. I thought it may be TPS, had it checked at a local (non dealer) shop. they said it was ok, but the connector that plugs into TPS was loose/ possibly bad. I have searched all savage yards, ebay, and even the toyota dealer for this connector. Its included with the entire engine wire harness, which is discontinued at the dealer. I dont know where else to search. I have since silconed the connector onto the tps and it appears to be attached well. The reason for the post is in search for this connector, and Im not convinced this is my problem. Could this possible be bad mass air flow sensor, any other ideas? The truck has an open k&n filter. Symptoms seem worse on rainy days, but are still present on warm dry days. Any thoughts/ suggestions are appreciated.

Try plugs/wires/distributor cap/rotor first.

worse on wet days . . . sounds like the plug wires might be arcing from the moisture in the air - x2 on plugs, wires, cap & rotor
