Just for a size ref. I had 33 X12.50's on my 1 ton ford truck. They're pretty wide.

That would be sweet. I have 35*12.5*15 BFG A/T's on white steelie wheels that are 10'' wide. Works great. They are on my 82 CJ-5 with full width Chevy axles. I love the bull dog look it gives it.

35x12.5x15 on AR 15x10 6.25" Backspacing. It's what I like, plenty wide. Stable base for 5" of lift, doesn't wanna get tippy real easy.

There is no way in hell that those are 6.25" backspacing...
Do you know what backspacing is and how to measure it ?

Would it be safe, of course...
You'll be more likely to pop a bead, assuming that you 4 wheel and air down, than if you ran 8" wide wheels.

Would it look silly, to whom ?
What matters is what it looks like to [b]you[b/], not anyone else.

Man those 35's make my 33's look wimpy. I'm running 33x12.5x15 on 10" rims with 4" bs, and I think it looks decent. You ask is it safe?, why wouldn't it be the !2.5 on a 10 puts the tire fairly close to center, less stress on the ball joints/control arms and still reasonably close to the correct camber.

Depending on the backspacing.

If you're just talking about the center of the tire being centered on the wheel width, well then the wheel width doesn't matter

Chief_Yota, with your lift you should have no clearance problems, should look pretty sweet too.

Well, I assume I do. I took a straight board and layed it across the center of the front side of the rim. Then I measured from the bottom of the stick to the top of where the hole is for the hub caps. It was ~6.25". That's backspacing I think, right.

Here's another couple pics

MudHippy, I think your on the wrong side of the rim, you might be closer to 3.5". at least thats how it looks in your pics. anything more than 4" bs would almost certainly have major rub/fitment issues with your suspension.

i have the exact size tire rim combination you are asking about and i think it looks really cool. gives the truck a real aggressive stance.
