YOTATECH MOBILE IS UP and RUNNING!!!

OK, you guys and gals asked for it, YT Mobile is now up and running.
the address is pretty straight forward:
m.yotatech.com

Give it a shot, I tried it on my iphone, Corey has used it on his droid. Pretty cool layout and has a good feel. It will take a little getting used to it.

Let us know what you all think and post your feed back

Not sure if the company that owns YT would want to have to Pay Apple the developer fee. Not sure if the droid store is open source or not.
On my I iphone I just created an icon for it by clicking on the 'add to home screen' option when you click on the '+' when using Safari.
With that it is almost like having an App Icon for it
Not sure what phone you have...

From: Yotatech, because Pirate is too expensive. NorCal.
It's too wide, too much scrolling. I'd like to see in my subscripions or on threads the name of the last person who posted.

If your interested check out this forum on your phone. One of the best mobile forums I've seen. No side scrolling, works great vertically and horizontally. Minimal member info on posts, shows last poster, awesome home page with new posts right at the top which automatically refresh. And the quick reply works great too.

What the hell kind of phone does that??

I am so used to being on the site, that the mobile mode was slow to navigate, I already saw the "too much scrolling" and "can't quote" comments. I switched bacl to full mode. I like the idea, I am just gonna have to mess with it some more.

I do not think an app is needed.
I clicked the YotaTech bookmark on my Droid yesternight before bed and a prompt came up telling me the site was now mobile, and I had the option to view the new mobile format or the normal one.

I clicked it and the page loaded very fast, even with pictures embedded.
At the bottom of every page I saw a button to go back to normal view.

Also with my Droid there is no scrolling on any page I surf.
It resizes very well.

But you can always bookmark the mobile link that Robb posted above, this way you will not have to click the yea/nay button to view it in mobile format.

I have heard about the TapaTalk too, but I have read that it can be even slower than a phones browser.
Not sure since I have not tried it.

I will have to experiment more with the mobile plugin here to see if it allows you to do most things as before.

That could be an oversight. I don't think I've thought to look for that button.

I'll see if we can add it.

cheers,
robb

Also, be nice if when you post your reply in a thread that you get taken to your post and not to the top of the page....
