Thanks! The ride to work today was so nice. I can keep my coffee in my lap on the 15N now instead of having to hold it and do the crazy coffee hand swap when shifting.

And the final result is stronger functional, and way better looking!! Thanks all for the info!

Nice 4Runner. I see you jacked open the leaf springs. Did you use a spring compressor to get the springs on or was jacking sufficient?

Jack the leafs apart then I still needed to set the spring on the lower stop. The upper part of the spring was on the outside of the upper bumpstop/spring perch. U used a 36 inch crow bar over the top of the spring and under the frame rail to pry/compress the spring right into place. Easy as could be.

I have a 4 inch suspension lift, and I want the ride in the rear to be a little softer for the little ones. Can I use the black magic 11inch springs? What pound test should I use? I dont want the height to go up anymore.

What method of lift do you currently have? If you have blocks currently, then the 14 inch springs could replace your blocks, and retain most if not all of your lift. All with a much better ride quality.

There's a few Zuk suspension links on the bottom of Zuk's site. The link has info on getting both the 12 and 14 inchers from eBay. Good luck man!

Good people southwest speed. You'll get your springs in exactly 5 working days and they have awesome communication.

Yup. They were quick when I bought mine as well. Wonder if they know how many of these are not going into race cars??

Thumbs up Great

Love the writeup, from contemplating to execution. Great pics. I did the same setup on my '89, BJ spacers + black magic springs. Love the result and the cost.

Haha,

I know it's really "bad" practice, but I work on my truck in flip flops too. Just replaced the old, saggy springs on my 4runner today as well, and it worked out great.

Thanks for the awesome pics and the write up. I only went for a short test drive, but loving it so far.

Cheers,
Michael
