Won't stay runing!

Hey every one!

I have a 1991 V6 4Runner that stalls after about 30 seconds. The gauges die and the lights dim out as if the battery is dead, but the battery is @ 11-12 volts right after it stalls and it starts right back up and repeats this process so it can't be the battery or the alternator - I hope. (alt is brand new) What could be the problem? I'm new at this wrenching thing so any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanx for your time

I had a problem similar to this on my buick and 2 weeks and 1500 dollars later it ended up being the computer. Best thing to do is take it to the dealer and let them check it out. Don't trust other shops.

I'd do some fuel system checks.
Mainly flow rate. You could have a plugged filter or a weak pump.

Was the vehicle hesitating while in use prior to this? What was it like going up hills?

Yea def Fuel filter or pump. Or check or air intake hoses for being loose or broke with holes in them.
