I have a 92 3.0L pickup and it recently stalled out on the highway and had to be trailer'ed home. I was driving along at about 3500rpm and it just died. Now it will start and idle but when I begin to drive it will just die. If I rev it in neutral it will rev for a minute then die. Once it dies it wont start for hours. I pulled a fuel line off the intake and it pissed fuel so does this mean the fuel filter is not clogged??? Could it be a bad coil? I dont know where to begin, I was going to try my budddies coil from his 89 but the connector is diferent. Any help would be awsome, I gota get back on the trails.

 

Check your intake hose. (big round accordian looking one). Odds are you have a tear in it somewhere and its causing your issue.

 

x2 on the intake hose. It could also be an intermittent ignition/electrical issue. Check your distributor, coil and wiring.
