I'm planning on making my own cab mount spacers, out of some 3x6 sheets of 1" thick plastic I have, open to criticism but keep I'm mind this is a totalled out beater, but since I'm starting with an idea I saw about using hockey pucks on YouTube, I don't know if I need to modify anything such as my steering column, or just raise the cab, any thoughts would be great......thanksthanks

I dont see why it wouldnt work.I have a 2wd so I havent lifted mine but I did change mine to power stering and I would have to say there is enough shaft in the stock steering to slide it it an inch.oh and I just found these body lift install instructions that should help you. http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...ft_HowTo.shtml

Hockey pucks are meant for one thing, hockey. They are not meant to withstand the weight of a truck, or be exposed to weather for prolonged periods of time.

Just buy the kit. How much are you going to spend on getting the pucks, new longer bolts nuts and washers, brackets to lift the bumpers, and radiator and hoses to extend the fuel filler.
The steering shaft is extendable. PITA to get done sometimes as they can be sized together.
