I imagine if you call around to local Auto-glass companies they'd be able to tell you with some accuracy what it will cost.

Cheap will probably be under $200. Better can be had for probably about $300. Most of the services that do it come to your location, and get the job done in 1-2 hours.
I had the windshield replaced on my '91 a few(6?) years ago. The cheapest was Safelite, but the glass was inferior. Safelite makes their own glass, I was later to learn. It had ripples in it directly in the driver's straight-ahead field of view--very annoying! I declared it defective, stopped payment, had the w/s replaced again, this time by a local independent place with a name brand, OEM quality replacement--I think it was PPG glass. Safelite was cheap-$150 or so, but the 'better' place with their 'better' glass was more, about $270 or so. Safelite eventually refunded my money without too much haggling. Also, there's a chrome ring or some such(if your truck has it) that is non-reuseable, so they charge you for that...mine was about $30 additional.

Have you checked with your auto insurance company. You can usually file a claim and not pay anything, or a $50.00 deductable in most states.
