will 2001-2002 tail lights fit on a 2000?

will 2001-2002 tail lights fit on a 2000?
I am new (thus my posting this in the noob section) and couldn't find the answer to this specific question using the search function. I would like to put the late 3rd gen tail lights on the 2000 4runner I just purchased, are the lenses interchangeable? They look similar but I have not seen the back sides of each light side by side to decide for myself.

i remember seeing the answer to this in the last few months.
yes i know it is possible (as ive seen it all over the place here)
but i think you will have to swap the harnesses or the like. basically i think the light connectors are not identical.

welcome to yotatech.... the tail lights are one piece and from 96-00 there the same and from 2001-2002 they change to a different style and changed the harness but any 3rd gen tail lights will fit any year
